  Erhard Busek, former Austrian Vice Chancellor was re-elected for a second term as Rector of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences by the academic board on 16 July 2006.
  
  Karin Mairitsch was elected Vice Rector. The academic board comprises the degree programme heads, representatives of the faculty as well as the students. It is the highest academic committee.
  
  The Rectorate has overall responsibility in all academic matters and together with the two managing directors forms the university management.
