Prerequisites for admission
Secondary education- general Hochschulreife (secondary education certificate)
or possession of a certificate from another country, where the certificate is equivalent to the Austrian, either on the basis of international agreement or on the basis of accepted recognition or - Studienberechtigungsprüfung (university entrance qualification)
English language skills (Proof of language skills not older than 2 years)
You have to have one of the below mentioned certificate
- TOEFL: internet-based TOEFL (iBT) 70; TOEFL-Code 4180; for testing centers and dates, see www.toefl.org
- IELTS "Academic": minimum score 7.0 For further information: www.british.council.de

English certificate is necessary for all students. Exceptions need to be discussed when you apply and/orbefore August, 15th 2012
Deadline to submit proof of English language skills: August 15th, 2012 for October 2012 intake
In case you have documents of your Secondary Education which are not in German language, we kindly ask you to see the links on the right side "Beglaubigung" and "Legalisation". Only documents which are proved like this can be taken into consideration.
Application procedure
- Online application, starting October, 2011
- Placement test (either online or in-house)
- Online tests only possible for applicants living abroad (testing location must be approved by degree programme)
- Personal video – for details on contents & procedures, see fact sheet or contact degree programme directly via email after online application completed.
Deadlines
Applicants who plan to take the placement test online and/or applicants who need a visa must provide contact info of trustworthy location where placement test can be administered. Test will be made available on May 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2012.Application deadlines for October, 2012 intake: April 23rd, 2012 for all students requiring a visa or who are taking placement test online. May 21st, 2012 for all others.
