




Graduating with a specialisation in only three years? The BA programme mmt takes 6 semesters.
The curriculum offers a great deal of choices. Over 40% of all courses can be choosen individually: After a basic education in the first year you select your major in the second. There are two major and three minor studyfields to choose from – all of them have great potential for the future.

Web and communities: This field covers developments in web 2.x and 3.xab as swell as web technologies, web frameworks, rich internet applications, internationalisation, scaling, security and safety, semantic web, online communities and social networks and their psychology and sociology, as well as economic and legal aspects.
Augmented reality and game: This major focuses on development of computergames and info/edutainment applications. Game theory, economic and legal aspects of games, modelling, asset preparation, game architecture, game authoring systems, game engines and graphic libraries, game AL, multiplayer games, generative modelling, internationalisation and computer vision as well as augmented reality are part of the studies.
AV and studio: digital TV and studiotechnology including lightning, broadcasting, virtual studiotechnology, camera tracking and tapeless workflow
Media asset management: saving and archiving of digital content, e.g. Ingest, dataformats, saving data technologies, digital rights management, archiving, versionizing and metadata.
Mobile applications: software development for mobile phones, smartphones, mobile playstations, e.g. programming interfaces, J2ME, location based services and ubiquitous computing.
Additional minors starting in 2011: gamedesign, design thinking and media scenography.
The thorough professional preparation is shown when it comes to projects: everything a student learns throughout the semester will come to use and test in accompaning practical projects. They are developing with the demands of professional reality. They start out with basic qualifications (individually carrying out a minor programming project), increase with professional qualification (minor multimedia projects realised in teamwork), finalising with full multimedia competence (major multimedia projects in interdisciplinary larger teams, students both from mmt and mma).
