Requirements for the MBA
The entrance requirements for the Master of Arts in Business are as follows: a B.A. or BSc. Hons. degree completed at either a university of applied sciences or an equivalent degree from an institute of higher education. All applicants must have a good command of the English language and may be asked to provide proof of their linguistic competence.
A special regulation may be applied in exceptional cases whereby, after consultation with the head of the Master, graduates may submit their degree certificates (i.e. proof of successfully completed B.A. or BSc.) later than officially required, namely, by the beginning of the second semester of the Master, at the latest. Further details relating to the Master entrance requirements are listed below:
Graduates who have successfully completed the following degree courses are not required to take additional examinations:
- Design & Product Management
- Strategic Management & Design
- Integrated Product Design
- Industrial Design
- Product Design
- Transportation Design
- Interior Design
- Entertainment Design
- Interior Architecture
- Forest Products Technology and Management
- Forest Products Technology and Wood Constructions
Application and Entrance
All applicants must fulfil the criteria described below. Applicants must submit their application documents to the Master of Arts in Business office before participating in the obligatory entrance procedure with interview.
There are no specific regulations to adhere to regarding the form of the application, however, the following documents must be submitted:
- Personal statement/ letter of intent (letter of application including CV/resume, your intentions as well as your personal preferences and plans).
- Certificates (official certificates from the relevant degree course, your previous studies)
- Supplementary documents (project work from B.A. or BSc. degree, main projects, portfolio, samples of work ...)
After the application documents have been inspected by the admissions panel, each applicant must subsequently complete samples of work at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and must participate in an interview with the panel.
The five criteria which serve as the basis for the evaluation of suitability are:
