Admission requirements

All applicants must be qualified to study at an Austrian university.

German language skills

This study programme is taught in german language of instruction. A proof of proper language skills is an entry requirement. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences do not offer any language preparation course. For the bachelor programme "Biomedical Sciences" you would need a proof of german language skills Level B2 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR.

The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences does not offer any German language courses prior to admission to a study programme. Prospective students have to take care about that on their own responsibility.

Infection protection requirements


According to a recommendation of the Supreme Sanitary Council, it is necessary in the Salzburg regional hospitals (and also in many other hospitals in Austria) for all persons working in the clinical area to prove immunity against measles, mumps, rubella as well as varicella (chickenpox) and hepatitis-B - this also applies to interns of the health science degree programs of the FH Salzburg.

The proof must be provided before the start of the first internship in the form of a positive antibody titer or proven vaccination twice in order to be able to complete the internships required for the studies.
