"Brennpunkt eTourism" is the leading conference for the tourism industry and is organized every year by the Tourism Research Department of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. As an important industry meeting point for future-oriented tourism professionals, the congress has established itself beyond the borders of Upper Austria, Tyrol and Bavaria as an important training and networking event.
Brennpunkt Digitalisierung 2026: New Perspectives for the Tourism Industry
On 6 October 2026, FH Salzburg invites you to “Brennpunkt Digitalisierung 2026”. The event will focus on current developments in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and innovative financing models.
Experts from academia and industry will demonstrate how Agentic AI is transforming tourism businesses, the role employees will play in the age of AI, and how digital visibility is changing as the online landscape shifts from Google to ChatGPT. Additional topics include protecting tourism businesses from cyber risks and exploring crowdfunding as a financing model, illustrated through the example of a new gondola lift project.
The event brings together students, industry professionals and experts, offering practical insights as well as ample opportunities for discussion and networking.
