The economy in Salzburg is characterized by small and medium-sized enterprises with strong implementation capabilities and by strong tourism. The Department of Business and Tourism combines these areas under one roof and works and researches on many projects that make local businesses and organizations fit for future challenges. Our degree programs focus on business administration, SME management and tourism, with a particular focus on innovation, digitalization and sustainability.
As part of our commitment to international collaborations, we plan to expand our curriculum over the next 5 years and give more students the opportunity to complete double or dual degrees with international partners. In addition, we will focus on specialized courses and master programs with future topics such as innovation, digitalization or sustainability.
