The student from South Africa has successfully obtained two academic degrees: a Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance at the UFS and a Master of Arts in Business Management (MA) specialising in Financial Risk Management at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. This double degree not only underlines her exceptional academic performance, but also the international orientation of the study programme.

Her master's thesis entitled ‘Exploring Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Compliance and Washing Phenomena in South African Listed Companies’ was written under the supervision of Christine Mitter (FH Salzburg) and Johan Coetzee (University of the Free State). The work is dedicated to the highly topical issue of corporate responsibility for achieving equal economic opportunities for disadvantaged citizens in South Africa.

"We are very pleased about this première of a double Master's degree, which will be awarded to more graduates in the coming months and years. With this additional offer to the Master's programme in Business Management at the FH Salzburg, both South African and Austrian students in Financial Management can expand the European perspective to the most developed economic area in Africa and thus become experts in International Financial Management," emphasises Markus Lassnig, head of the degree programme.
