Intercultural Communications & Management

Global Dexterity - the ability to successfully adapt one's own behavior in a foreign culture without losing oneself (Molinsky, 2015) - is a key competence for successful interaction in our increasingly globalized world. In the academic area "Intercultural Communications & Management" we support students and teachers in developing their global skills through a wide range of foreign language and intercultural competence courses.

Our offerings include not only curricular language and culture courses, but also a wide range of free electives for language and cross-cultureal skill building. In addition, we offer students the opportunity for international experience through exchange semesters, study trips, and virtual cross-border classrooms with international partner institutions.

Teachers can prepare specifically for teaching in classrooms with students from diverse cultural backgrounds through a customized EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) development program.
