Marketing Management

The Marketing Management department is responsible for courses in marketing and sales in the Business & Tourism department. The content also focuses on the areas of circular economy, sustainability, and digitization, which are integrated into teaching as cross-cutting topics across several departments.

Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. (American Marketing Association 2017)

We attach great importance to excellent academic education at all levels in order to prepare our students for challenges in their future professional lives. Our expertise is based on many years of project experience with numerous large international and national corporations, medium-sized companies and start-ups from a wide range of industries in the profit and non-profit sectors. The team at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences is strengthened by top-class external lecturers from the field, as practical orientation is a central concern for us. Furthermore, findings from our research activities on current marketing topics are incorporated into our teaching. In the spirit of research-led teaching, the staff of the Department of Marketing Management also supervise scientific theses at bachelor's and master's level and are involved in third-party funded research projects.

In the academic year 2023/24, we are looking forward to the following collaborations in teaching with partners from the field:
