"Beyond the Plate" is an interdisciplinary event concept. „Beyond the Plate“, i.e. looking beyond one's own nose, is emblematic of the interdisciplinary approach, an essential feature of sustainable development. With its six departments, the FH Salzburg offers the best conditions for this. But "Beyond the Plate" also stands for getting to know the views of other people with different backgrounds beyond the university campus.
The event concept "Beyond the Plate" is supported by two pillars: the "Open Series" and "Open Style".
Open Style stands for a platform on which university events with a strong connection to sustainable development can be offered on a continuous basis.
Open Series follows the concept of a lecture series. Within the framework of an action week, a topic area is examined from different (subject) directions in four events and brought together in a fifth.
From 20th to 24th November, the FH Salzburg invites all interested parties to a lecture series for the second time under the motto "Beyond the Plate". From Monday to Friday, lectures on the overarching theme »Whose planet is it?« will take place daily at 5 pm.
Beyond the Plate #2: Whose planet is it?
In the second staging of the series of events with five Open Lectures, the week will focus on the question »Whose planet is it?«. The question of whether climate justice and a sustainable society are possible with the current understanding of property will be explored in different dimensions.
