Certificates
The ‘familieundhochschule’ certificate confirms the institution’s commitment to a good work-life balance. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences offers both students and staff a family-friendly working and learning environment. It was first awarded the certificate in 2013 and has had it renewed in 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025.
Since 2015, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences has also held the certificate for Workplace Health Promotion (WHP). This certificate is Austria’s highest award for exemplary and, above all, sustainable investment in the health of employees. Successful recertifications took place in 2018, 2021 and 2023. In 2020, the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg was awarded the Salzburg Workplace Health Promotion Prize for organisations with over 50 employees, in recognition of its commitment, particularly to context-based workplace health promotion.
ZukunftVIELFALT® certification: Since October 2015, FH Salzburg has been systematically addressing diversity management, defining and implementing measures. In recognition of this commitment, FH Salzburg became the first higher education institution in Austria to receive the ZukunftVIELFALT® diversity certificate. The process was audited by TÜV AUSTRIA CERT on the basis of ÖNORM S2501 (Guideline for Diversity Management), and a recommendation for certification was issued; the certification is re-audited every three years.
FH Salzburg has once again been awarded the “kununu Top Company Seal” this year. The award requires a certain number of reviews and a score of at least 3.8 stars. We are delighted that this highlights the high levels of satisfaction and genuine appreciation within the university and that our staff rate us so highly as an employer.
