The department's laboratories, studios and workrooms offer students access to state-of-the-art technical equipment. They create ideal conditions for practical learning, independent work and the implementation of challenging projects. All rooms are open to students and enable concentrated work, creative experimentation and collaborative project development. In addition, students benefit from access to digital resources and software, as well as from the department's close industry partnerships.

Covering almost 450 m², the hall in Salzburg Schallmoos offers students from the Creative Technologies department ideal conditions for realising their creative film projects.

The Colour Grading Lab offers students the opportunity to professionally edit and optimise image material. Using state-of-the-art software (DaVinci Resolve) and high-resolution monitors, colour corrections can be carried out precisely and creative looks developed.

The CT Studio combines state-of-the-art technology for motion capture, VFX, virtual production and photography.
- Motion & performance capture: Multiple capture systems, including OptiTrack with 18 cameras (14 high-speed overhead, 4 high-resolution ground-based), operated via two high-end workstations for real-time capturing and Unreal Engine output, Rokoko capturing suits with Pro Gloves, and an AI-based GoPro capture system.
- VFX Greenscreen Lab: Greenscreen area (8 m × 7 m × 4.5 m) with optical camera tracking for virtual productions (icVFX).

The lab is actively used in 3D content generation classes and is part of the render farm for computationally intensive tasks.

The 50 m² recording studio is a Dolby Atmos 9.4.1 mixing and post-production studio from WSDG. It supports formats such as Dolby Atmos 9.1.4, ITU 5.1 and stereo mastering, enabling professional audio productions of the highest standard. The studio is complemented by a 12 m² recording booth for vocals, drums, bass and guitar, equipped with instruments, amplifiers and an extensive microphone collection.

The Sound Design Lab is a 5.1 audio editing and sound design suite equipped with a quiet and powerful Mac Studio M3. With state-of-the-art DAWs and plug-ins, even the most demanding projects in the fields of sound design, mixing and audio post-production can be realised.

The Makerspace offers students a space for prototyping and interaction design. Equipped with 3D printers, electronic workstations, materials for physical prototypes and a test area with rig, green screen and lighting, ideas can be put into practice and tested directly.
