To ensure that you feel comfortable right from the start, you will be welcomed and accompanied by a personal buddy at FH Salzburg. Your buddy will assist you with any questions you may have about working at FH Salzburg and help you quickly familiarise yourself with your daily work routine. Your colleagues in the respective department or division will be at your side to help you settle into your new role. In addition, you can look forward to a Welcome Day and individual training sessions to help you get started.

One of the most important benefits at FH Salzburg is flexible working hours without core hours, which gives you the flexibility to organise your working hours individually – in consultation with your team – and to work from home if necessary. You also benefit from additional special leave days  December 24 and 31 and can compensate for accumulated hours with additional days off.

Through flexible working hours, we promote a better balance between work and private life. We can offer part-time arrangements for many roles, with the days and times worked agreed on an individual basis. If you have care responsibilities, you will also receive personalised support in emergencies and crisis situations. At FH Salzburg, we value the health and well-being of our employees. A comprehensive sports programme and courses in the ÖGK Toolbox help you stay fit and healthy. Ergonomic work equipment, a monthly fruit box and a varied health programme contribute to a healthy working environment. 

Sustainability is especially important to us. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences is not only optimally connected to public transport, but employees also benefit from generous job ticket subsidies so that they can travel comfortably by bus or train. Covered bicycle racks are also available, and we offer a mobile bicycle service once a year. Those who still rely on their cars benefit from excellent highway connections and sufficient parking spaces.

As an employee, you receive a daily subsidy of € 2 for your lunch in the canteens at the Urstein and Kuchl campuses. Microwaves and free coffee are available in our staff kitchens, and every month a fruit box provides all employees with fresh vitamins.

Our annual events offer a great opportunity to network, have fun and strengthen community. The Sommerfest invites you to relax and celebrate with your family, and the Christmas party spreads festive cheer. Sporting events such as the Business Run and the Women's Run promote physical health and togetherness. Other activities, from alumni events and monthly games evenings to company trips, create a lively and friendly working environment.
