On 28 October 2026 at 5.00 pm, Hermann Vaske will be giving an open lecture entitled ‘The Dialectic of Creativity’ at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.
For more than 30 years, Vaske has been exploring the question of what sparks creativity – and what hinders it. To this end, he has worked with over 1,000 of the most influential creative figures of our time, including David Bowie, Marina Abramović, Björk, Vivienne Westwood, Ridley Scott, Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch, Zaha Hadid and Damien Hirst.
Particularly in times of rapidly advancing artificial intelligence, outstanding human creativity is becoming more important than ever. That is why I believe this evening could provide a valuable stimulus and genuine inspiration, especially for Salzburg’s advertising agencies, creative professionals and their staff.
Running alongside the lecture, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg is hosting Vaske’s major exhibition„Why Are You Creative?“
