One week in Brussels – Blended Intensive Programme 2026

A harbour cruise, Six Sigma case work and the Grand-Place at night: in March 2026, our students spent an intense and unforgettable week in Brussels – academically, internationally and personally.

From 23 to 27 March 2026, students from FH Salzburg travelled to Brussels as part of this year's Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), organised in collaboration with Odisee University College.

The centrepiece of the week was the application of the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to real logistics scenarios. Working in international groups, students analysed case studies, developed solutions and presented their findings in English. Participants came from four partner institutions: the University of Economics in Katowice, Holland Hogeschool, FH Salzburg and the host institution, Odisee University College in Brussels.

One of the week's highlights was a harbour cruise in Antwerp. From the water, students experienced one of Europe's most important logistics hubs first-hand – gaining a vivid understanding of how global supply chains operate in practice.

Beyond the classroom, the city Brussels itself became a place of learning. A visit to the European Parliament and an exploration of the EU Quarter illustrated how closely economic policy and international trade structures are intertwined.

Cultural experiences were very much part of the programme too: the Grand-Place at night, the Atomium, the Chocolate Museum and the lively streets of the Brussels old town created shared memories beyond the seminar room and brought the international teams even closer together.

A warm thank you to all participants and to Odisee Brussels for the wonderful hospitality and organisation. Our Blended Intensive Programmes take place in Lisbon (focus: Artificial Intelligence) and Brussels (focus: Logistics & Supply Chain).

Enrolment is open during your studies.
