Salzburg University of Applied Sciences among the top 10 creative universities: 6th place in the One Club Ranking 2025

In 2025, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences will be among the ten best creative universities in the world. It ranks sixth in the One Club for Creativity's Global Creative College Ranking, thanks to the outstanding work of students in the Department of Creative Technologies in film, communication design, audio, producing, web, games and computer animation.

The ranking is based exclusively on the students' competition successes, including international awards such as Young Ones, ADC and TDC,, supplemented by national and regional competitions. Size, budget or reputation are irrelevant – only actual creative performance counts.

Top position in global comparison
With 320 points and 24 award-winning works, FH Salzburg ranks sixth worldwide. It is ranked ahead of Berghs School of Communication (Stockholm), ArtCenter College of Design (Pasadena), Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (Ludwigsburg), Brigham Young University (Provo) and School of Visual Arts (New York). In recent years, FH Salzburg has also consistently achieved top rankings: 6th place in 2022 and 2023, 11th place in 2024.

Creative technologies as a success factor
This success is based on interdisciplinary collaboration in the Creative Technologies department. Creativity, design excellence and technical expertise come together here in projects that combine film, communication design, audio, computer animation, web, games and producing. Practical competition projects promote creative thinking, technical implementation and conceptual clarity – and optimally prepare students for the international creative industry.

The ranking shows that interdisciplinary teaching, practical projects and a strong competitive culture are crucial for international success.
