With eleven ADC Nails and eight further awards at the prestigious ADC Talent Award 2026, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences has established itself as the leading creative university in the German-speaking world. It was named ‘Creative University of the Year’ at the international ADC Festival in Hamburg.

At the ADC Talent Award Show in Hamburg, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences won eleven ADC Nails and eight further awards. With three Gold Nails, four Silver Nails and four Bronze Nails, it secured the title of ‘Creative University of the Year’ and the top spot amongst creative universities in the German-speaking world.
The award-winning projects include “BINGO” (Gold and Silver), “GRIT” (Gold and two Bronze Nails), “Zeitleisten” (Gold), “Outlet”, “5020 goes 5020” and “Dissonanzportrait” (Silver each), as well as “GRAYT” and “W_RTLOS” (each a bronze). The award-winning works illustrate the breadth of creative and socially relevant topics addressed by students in the Department of Creative Technologies.

“BINGO” was one of the big winners of the evening
Among the most successful projects of the evening was the social awareness advert “BINGO”, which was awarded a Goldnagel and a Silbernagel. The project was brought to life by Juliane Steiner (director) and Luisa Mistelberger (producer), alongside art director Maria Reichegger and a dedicated team.
This powerful short film draws attention to a shocking fact: according to UNICEF, one in eight women worldwide has experienced sexual assault. With a clear creative concept and a strong emotional impact, the advert raises awareness of the extent of sexualised violence and encourages society to engage with the issue.
Just a few weeks ago, “BINGO” was awarded gold in the Student Multimedia category at the CCA Venus Award, Austria’s most prestigious creative award.

Gold for sustainable consumption: ‘GRIT’
The ‘GRIT’ project received another Gold Nail award. This innovative platform helps users to question impulsive purchasing decisions and consume more sustainably in the long term.
GRIT analyses purchasing decisions, compares them with personal goals and curbs impulsive behaviour. Instead of making poor purchases, users receive specific recommendations and can invest the money they save in value-appreciating alternatives such as shares, art or property. The concept promotes a conscious, sustainable and self-determined approach to consumption and combines digital innovation with social responsibility.
“Being named Creative University of the Year is a wonderful endorsement of the work carried out by our students and lecturers. The award-winning projects combine social relevance, technological perfection and strategic thinking – underpinned by a clearly recognisable creative signature that shapes the profile of our department,” says Hilmar Linder, Head of the Department Creative Technologies at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.
