The Berlin-based artist duo 44flavours, consisting of Sebastian Bagge and Julio Rölle, is taking on a visiting professorship in the Master's programme in MultiMediaArt.

In their course ‘A fragment of being’, students explore how drawings, collages and graphics can be translated into surprising spatial forms.
The starting point is the principle of figure-ground reversal, which promotes openness in perception and reveals new formal relationships. Students experiment with cutting, layering and superimposing, developing sketches and studies that bring the dialogue between positive and negative forms to life.
The working method is based on the principle of bricolage: existing elements are spontaneously combined and reinterpreted, creating unexpected possibilities and new meanings. The aim is to create a wall object or relief that condenses the insights gained and questions the boundary between object and surface.
