Welcome Days for Incoming Students

The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences is pleased to welcome a total of 78 international incoming students from across the globe for the summer semester 2026. These students enrich the campus with fresh cultural perspectives and make a significant contribution to the university’s strong commitment to lived internationality.

From 16 February onwards, it was once again time to say “Welcome” to a total of 78 international students who will be spending the summer semester at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. As part of the Welcome Days, the International Office offered a varied and engaging programme. During these days, the incoming students receive essential information about their studies, the campus, and available services, while also having the chance to make first connections and get to know Salzburg. Workshops, campus tours, and a joint excursion to the surrounding region provide a lively start to the semester and help foster a strong sense of community among the new arrivals from the very beginning.

This semester, numerous participants from prestigious scholarship programmes are once again joining us:

  • 6 Ernst Mach Scholars (Funded by the OeAD, this programme supports highly talented students from non‑EU countries during their study stay in Austria.)
  • 9 Erasmus+ KA171 Scholars (The KA171 programme (Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility) enables mobility with partner countries outside Europe and strengthens international cooperation.)

We warmly welcome all international students and wish them an inspiring and successful summer semester 2026 at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences!
