On the occasion of Erasmus+ Days, FH Rector Dominik Engel shares his very personal Erasmus+ story in the podcast of the International Office of the FH Salzburg.

On the occasion of the Erasmus+ Days in October, FH Salzburg Rector and Managing Director Dominik Engel shares his very personal Erasmus+ story in the latest podcast episode ‘Fish, Chips & Friendships’ – a journey that left its mark not only academically, but also personally.
In conversation with Kevin Bailey and Jennifer Simon, he talks about his year abroad in England, where he made friendships that still exist today. In the episode, FH Rector Dominik Engel also explains how international experiences not only broaden one's own horizons, but also enrich the university in the long term.
‘International encounters are a central component of modern higher education. They promote openness, cultural understanding and create networks that have an impact far beyond one's studies.’
The University of Applied Sciences Salzburg is actively committed to internationalisation – whether through exchange programmes such as Erasmus+, international research collaborations or the integration of global perspectives into teaching, research and practice. Dominik Engel's personal story shows how valuable such experiences can be – sometimes the most important insights arise precisely where you least expect them.
