Over the course of three days in early November, FH Salzburg held its graduation ceremonies at Campus Urstein. In a festive setting, 457 graduates from a wide range of degree programmes were honoured for their academic achievements. A special milestone this year was the participation of the first graduates from the master's degree programmes AI in Sustainable Technologies, Cyber Security, Industrial Informatics & Robotics, and Realtime Art and Visual Effects, who celebrated the successful completion of their studies alongside their fellow graduates.

From 3 to 5 November 2026, the Audimax at FH Salzburg's Campus Urstein was dedicated to celebrating the university's graduation ceremonies. A total of 457 graduates, including 332 bachelor's graduates, 120 master's graduates and 5 graduates from continuing education programmes, were honoured for their academic achievements.
The festive ceremonies marked an important milestone in the graduates' academic journeys. Together with family, friends, lecturers and numerous distinguished guests from politics, business and society, they celebrated the successful completion of their studies.
First Graduates of Four New Master's Programmes
In the 2024/25 academic year, FH Salzburg expanded its academic portfolio by introducing four new master's degree programmes. The aim was to address the growing demand for highly qualified professionals in key future-oriented fields while offering greater specialisation opportunities at master's level. The first students have now successfully completed these programmes.
At the Department of Information Technologies and Digitalisation, the existing IT master's curriculum was fundamentally redesigned. The former IT master's programme evolved into three independent specialisations: Cyber Security, AI for Sustainable Technologies, and Industrial Informatics & Robotics. Designed as part-time programmes for working professionals, these degrees enable students to develop advanced expertise in highly sought-after technology fields.
In addition, the Department of Creative Technologies launched the new international, English-taught master's programme Realtime Art and Visual Effects. Positioned at the intersection of technology and creativity, the programme equips students with expertise in virtual and augmented reality, real-time graphics systems, simulation and visualisation, and visual effects.
“The successful graduation of the first cohorts is an important milestone for us. It confirms that our combination of specialisation, practical orientation and continuous programme development meets both students' interests and the evolving demands of the labour market,” says FH Salzburg Rector Dominik Engel.
