The graduation ceremonies are not only an important milestone, but also an emotional moment of retrospection and recognition. Over a total of three days, the UAS graduates celebrated their successful graduation together with family and friends, lecturers and numerous guests of honour from politics, business and society.

30 years of FH Salzburg: More than 15,000 graduates

Since it was founded 30 years ago, the University of Applied Sciences has educated more than 15,000 students. This emphasises the importance of the university in the training of specialists in a wide variety of fields. The graduates of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences play a decisive role in the economy and society by contributing their knowledge and skills and contributing to the economic development of the region - and beyond.

With curiosity and enthusiasm

One of the more than 450 graduates is Daniela Dottolo from Oberndorf near Salzburg. She took the plunge into a technical degree programme after completing her HLW. Interested in digital topics, she opted for MultiMediaTechnology at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and deepened her knowledge in both the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in the field of web development. ‘It was challenging to get started, but the support from students and lecturers made it manageable,’ she says. During her studies, she was able to complete specialised internships and work freelance in web development. After the coronavirus period, she was keen to gain international experience. Daniela Dottolo therefore opted for a double degree programme: in addition to her Master's at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, she completed a second Master's at the University of Halmstad in Sweden. Her Master's project ‘Spot a Bot’, which dealt with recognising bots on Twitter, was honoured at international festivals. The graduate has now turned her passion for web development into a career at a Salzburg company.
