Design and product management now take place in a global context. International experience, intercultural competence and worldwide networking are therefore key success factors. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences actively supports you in developing these skills through a semester abroad at one of our many partner universities around the world.
Broaden Your Horizons and Give Your Studies an International Dimension

In your third or fourth semester, you have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of our many partner universities. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to strengthen your foreign language skills, gain new perspectives and develop valuable intercultural competencies – qualifications that are becoming increasingly important in today’s globally connected world.
An International Network
The Design and Product Management degree programme benefits from an extensive international network of renowned universities and research partners around the world. In Europe, exchange destinations include ELISAVA School of Design and Engineering in Spain, Politecnico di Milano in Italy, KEA – Copenhagen School of Design and Technology in Denmark, and the Art Academy of Latvia in Latvia.
Beyond Europe, the programme maintains partnerships with leading institutions across other continents, including Troy University in the United States, Murdoch University and the University of Newcastle in Australia, UDEM in Mexico, as well as The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong, Korea University in South Korea, and Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
These examples represent just part of a far-reaching international network that offers you a wide range of opportunities to gain academic, personal and cultural experiences across the globe.
Globally Connected – Even Without Going Abroad
International networking does not begin only when you study abroad. Each semester, around 20 to 30 international exchange students join the Design and Product Management programme on our campus. This allows you to build international connections during your studies, expand your personal network and create ideal conditions for your own semester abroad.
