Through this master’s programme, you will expand your knowledge in various biotechnological and biomedical areas of research and development. In doing so, you will build onto the knowledge and skills acquired during your bachelor’s program. Modern teaching and learning
concepts, such as blended learning and peer teaching, ensure a variety of learning formats. Online components alternate with in-person sessions, and you can also complete selected courses asynchronously.
Focus Areas

You will deepen your technical and scientific knowledge in various biomedical fields, allowing you to specialise in specific areas. These include, among others, haematology, immunology, physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, and histology.
The modules build upon the knowledge acquired in your bachelor’s programs and combine this knowledge with current findings from the literature as well as the latest research and development results from the R&D groups at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and the
University of Salzburg.
Practical course content and close collaboration with leading companies offer you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and thereby meaningfully complement your scientific education. The focus is on hands-on work in a laboratory setting: through courses in the training lab,
simulation software, lab training, and an empirically based master’s thesis.
