The research area Sustainable Materials and Technologies at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences brings together interdisciplinary expertise in materials science, architecture, design, and energy engineering. Its aim is to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable, resilient, and circular society.
Research Groups
The two research groups within the focus area Sustainable Materials and Technologies contribute to selected SDGs:
- Green Materials & Processing: Strong contributions to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure)
- Adaptive Design of the Built Environment: Particularly relevant for SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy)
