The Code and Interactive Systems bachelor’s degree programme equips you to develop and implement digital products and applications.

In the first few semesters, you will acquire the fundamentals of design and technology and learn programming languages and current workflows in software development. From the second year onwards, you will choose your specialisation – Future Web & Mobile or Game & Immersive Tech – and apply your knowledge in projects alongside students from MultiMediaArt. An internship and the interdisciplinary final project provide the ideal preparation for a career in the creative and tech industries.
 

Curriculum Structure

The Code and Interactive Systems bachelor’s degree programme equips you to develop and implement digital products and applications.

Year 1
Fundamentals in mathematics, programming & software development, web & databases, media & interactive systems, concept development, communication & personal development, first project

Year 2
Software engineering, plus a chosen specialisation. Two team projects deepen your practical implementation skills and prepare you for the professional placement.

Year 3
Internship in Germany or abroad, further specialisation in your chosen focus area, Bachelor’s thesis and interdisciplinary final project.

Additionally:
Team and project management, as well as economic fundamentals for the web and games industry. An optional semester abroad in the 4th semester offers international experience and strengthens intercultural skills.
