The aim of the MultiMediaArt programme is to develop creative individuals who can confidently and professionally design media in their own unique style.

The curriculum is based on typical project phases in the creative industries.

Alongside design practice, theory subjects develop the ability to conceptualise, reflect and argue. Inspiration comes from the study of relevant debates in design, media, art and society. Numerous international awards and prizes for our students' projects testify to the high standard of the programme.

Curriculum Structure

Creative. Interdisciplinary. Project driven.

  • Project Orientation
    The curriculum and the whole programme are designed for the development and delivery of challenging multimedia projects. Students have access to intensive project coaching and advice from the outset.
  • Theory and reflection
    Inspiration for practice comes from engaging with current trends and developments in design, media, art and society. Theoretical subjects sharpen the ability to conceptualise, reflect and argue ideas and projects.
  • Teamwork and communication
    Students learn to organise themselves and project teams and to manage complex projects. They learn to present ideas and solutions convincingly and to communicate with groups with different needs.
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork
    Designers, managers, engineers* and animation specialists** work together to develop innovative concepts and solutions. Interdisciplinary project teams bring together people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

Study abroad

In your third or fourth semester, you can get a taste of international life by spending a semester abroad at one of our many partner universities. International flair and diversity is also ensured by the large number of international students, our more than 100 external lecturers and numerous international visiting lecturers.
