The research group is dedicated to applied health sciences research at the intersection of climate adaptation, healthcare systems, public health and educational development. Working alongside partners from academia and the professional world, it develops interdisciplinary, practice-oriented solutions to the challenges of the future.
Research Areas
1. Climate resilience in health care
This research area examines how climate change affects healthcare provision and treatment processes, with a particular focus on vulnerable population groups and healthcare workers. By integrating environmental, health and organisational perspectives, evidence-based strategies are developed to promote climate-resilient structures within the healthcare system.

2. Evidence-based educational ressources
This research area focuses on the development and implementation of innovative training formats designed to promote interprofessional, digital and sustainable skills within the healthcare sector. The aim is to use evidence-based skills training to address, in an effective and practical manner, the future demands on initial and continuing education within a changing, complex healthcare system.

3. Design for Health
This research area focuses on the user-centred design of health-promoting products, services and public spaces, with a particular emphasis on sustainable materials. The focus is on the development and scientific evaluation of innovative solutions that support health, participation and well-being in everyday life, whilst combining environmental responsibility with social impact.
